Meet the Artist/Gallery Owner
Rose Marie Capasso

A former teacher of 10 years, and Interior Designer for 11, Rose Marie learned the principals of balance, proportion, and harmonious color and pattern selections through her employment experience. She studied figure drawing, painting in various mediums, principals of design, screen printing, and graphic art at various state colleges. She has a BS in Education with a minor in Fine Art from North Adams State College, and A.S. In Graphic Design from Eastern FL State College.

 

After a car accident forced her to become extremely sedentary, and restrict movement of her chest and arms for about a year, Rose Marie taught herself Mandala art by watching videos on the internet. In time she experienced the benefits of this art form by feeling more calmness, and relaxation in her day to day life. The art practice was a major influence in her healing process, and aided in her physical therapy. She feels like she has found her purpose in painting, does it daily, and is very disciplined in her craft. She finds joy in teaching art classes while sharing the principals of art with others and encouraging their efforts.

 

Rose Marie is a strong believer in God, and wants to honor Him in her art work and life. Why she is passionate about the world’s wildlife, she believes as scripture says, a righteous person cares for their animals.

Genesis 1:26 says, “Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground".
