Call for Art

The Galleria of Art and Photography is pleased to announce a Call for Artists for its first juried art exhibit, “A Tribute to Native American Indians and Horses”. This community event is to celebrate diverse artistic talent of both amateurs and professionals, giving them a platform to showcase their work.  Featured art by world renowned artist Kevin Red Star.

Entries will be accepted in advance by appointment on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday starting Dec 29, 2025 through Feb 27, 2026. Artists may enter up to three entries per each 15-minute appointment. Applications and guidelines may be found online at artcreatedwithsoul.com.

Artists are permitted to enter artworks in the following different categories.

 

  • Oils and acrylic paintings

  • Multimedia

  • Photography

  • Watercolor

  • 3 dimensional artwork


The exhibition offers cash prizes for first $250, second $150; and third $100 place in the category Best of Show.

Accepted entries will be notified via phone call, email or text.  The exhibition will be on view in the Galleria from March 6 through April 3, 2026, with wine and cheese reception on March 20, when the winners will be announced.

Competition entry fee is $35 for the first artwork, +$20 for the second ($55 total) and +$15 for the third ($70 total).  Appointments will be scheduled, once you are contacted by email, Monday through Wednesday or other days by request.

Entry Format Digital

 

  • Must be in JPG format.

  • Photo of works should be taken straight on, no on an angle. Crop out background as much as possible.

  • Resolution: No more than 1920x1920 pixels.

  • File name: First name, last name, title of work, medium, size

    • E.g. John Doe, Sunset, Oil, 16x20


In-Person or Mail
 

  • Submit CD or thumb-drive with picture of work.

    • Follow digital formatting instructions above (crop background, resolution, file name).


Specification for Artworks Once Accepted
 

  • Works must be framed or on gallery wrap canvas with sides painted.

  • If works required glass, use plexiglass on prices larger than 18”x24” or 432 sq in.

  • 2d work must be properly wired and ready to hang when delivered. No sawtooth hangers.


Jury Awards
 

  • Best in Show: $250 cash prize, certificated, and month-long exhibit of your works on a full wall space

  • 2nd place: $150, certificate

  • 3rd place: $100, certificate

  • Merritt Awards: $25, certificate

Sales

​

  • In the event of a sale, the artist will received 70% of the sale, 25% goes to the Galleria, 5% to the selling artist

  • Payment is awarded in the first week of the following month.​

  • The buyer has the right to take the purchased work.

  • The artist may replace the work with a similar format

    • * The Studio has the right to curate the replaced work.

Shipping

 

  • Artists are responsible for shipping.

    • The Studio will inform the buyer that the artist will determine the shipping charge. We will contact the artist concerning the shipping option and provide the buyer's contact information.

  • Show Run: March 6 to April 3, 2026

  • Applications Accepted Starting: December 29, 2025.

  • Deadline for Entries: Feb 27, 2026

  • Result of the Jury Selection (email notification): March 5, 2026

  • Drop-off Accepted work at the Studio: TBD

  • Studio Installs the Exhibit: TBD

  • Reception: March 20, 2026 from 5-8pm

  • Pickup work: No later than April 18, 2026
