Rose Marie Capasso
Artist, Teacher, and Graphic Designer / Owner of the Gallery of Art and Photography
Rose Marie has a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a minor in Fine arts, as well as an Associates Degree in Graphic Design. She spent most of her earlier working career teaching art classes, and then as an interior designer for Ethan Allen Furniture, Fitzgerald’s Furniture and Indian River Furniture. Rose Marie considers herself an emerging artist, as she is still experimenting with various styles of art. Wanting the viewer to connect emotionally with her artwork, she loves to combine emotionalism, and realism with abstract and modern art. Her Reputation for creativity, excellent artistic layout and design and vibrant color schemes is evident in her work. Over the last few years, she has exhibited at the following galleries, Viera art gallery, 5th Avenue Gallery, and the Studios Of Cocoa Beach where she also taught art classes in acrylic painting in Mandala.

Following a car accident and then breast cancer, Rosemarie immersed herself in the daily practice of painting. She taught herself the practice of Mandala after the car accident restricted her full use of her arms, finding it both relaxing and healing.

Rose Marie is also an advocate for our world’s vulnerable and threatened wildlife. She is a supporting member of the World Wildlife Foundation. Her major art collections include the top Critically Endangered Animals worldwide, Florida wildlife, and Mandala art.
Theresa Garnett
Artist and Teacher
Theresa grew up in a military family traveling and living in several locations, including Okanawa, south eastern US, as well as, Montana, Texas and California. As an adult she has extensively traveled to The Bahamas, London, Italy, Greece and Paris. In her paintings, Theresa tries to express the beauty of the different cultures of our world, creating positive stories, and capturing a moment in time in each of her paintings, hoping the viewer will connect to her artwork in a personal way. Theresa herself was inspired when she first heard Billy Holiday at the age of 15, recalling those memories as she composed her artwork of the famous singer.

While living in Fredericksburg, Virginia, she exhibited in local art and craft shows, placing 1st and 2nd place in several contests. Her work was also shown at the public library and a community recreational center. She has taught many art classes for adults as well as children.

Theresa gleans inspiration from Kehinde Wiley, who painted president Obama’s portrait in 2018. She feels Wiley captures his subjects true spirit in his paintings with a colorful busy background, pushing the subject forward in the painting. She is also inspired by the local artist of the Bahamas through their colorful, cultural artwork.
